Interesting Facts about Eurovision Song Contest

The 2010 Eurovision in Norway had its share of bizarre acts. Spain was represented by Daniel Diges, who presented himself as a clone of British pop star Mika.  The act was devoid of any talent but had its redeeming moments - a plethora of clowns, mimes and another guy who also looked like Mika,  The high point came when a fan jumped unto the stage and joined the dancers, perhaps in an effort to salvage their dismal choreography. He was allowed to stay for awhile until security roughly carted him off.

Noel Kelehan conducted five winners (1980, 1987, 1992, 1993 and 1996)

Liechtenstein had planned to participate in the 1976 Eurovision and had already selected a song and a singer - Little cowboy by Biggi Bachmann. But they were not allowed to compete because Liechtenstein did not have a national broadcaster, and as a result was not an EBU member.

Every day until May 8 I will be posting a music video of each one of the semi-finalists of the Eurovision Song Contest. On May 9, I will post the last three (my top favorites). Enjoy the videos!
