Interesting Facts about Eurovision Song Contest
The 2008 winner of the Eurovision Song Contest was a Russian world-champion ice skater.
The runners-up in 1980 were German mime artists.
Russia was runner up in 2006 (Gimmick? Girl climb out of piano.)
In the same year, there were Rubber monsters from Finland. Yes indeed, they won.
In 1981, the Austrian entry wore an American football helmet.(17th out of 20)
And in 1979 Switzerland took 10th place using their tools of the trade, gardening equipment, including rakes and playing a watering can like an instrument!
