Four countries withdrew from the 1970 Eurovision Song Contest in protest over the previous year's method of selecting a winner: Finland, Norway, Portugal and Sweden
Ever wonder why there is so little press on the Official rules of Eurovision Song Contest? It's because they are long, constantly changing and refer mostly to technical aspects of the television broadcasting system.
To participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, each country must submit one song to represent them, provided that the song has not been previously commercially released or broadcast in public before a certain date relative to the Contest.
Every day until May 8 I will be posting a music video of each one of the semi-finalists of the Eurovision Song Contest. On May 9, I will post the last three (my top favorites). Enjoy the videos!
