Interesting Facts about Eurovision Song Contest
France did not participate in the 1974 Eurovision due to the death of President Pompidou.
The UK was off to a bad start with the first Eurovision contest in 1956. They were planning to compete but the time they finished their national final, it was already too late to participate!
In 51 years, an entry never won starting at the 2nd, the 7th, the 16th, the 21st, the 23rd, the 25th and the 26th place.
ESC TODAY, the newsite of Eurovision Song Contest generated more than 10,000,000 pageviews in 2003. By 2004, the number of visits exceeded 25,000,000!
