Hello all. I've have a bit of a tidy up of the site (and it's still a bit of a work in progress). Isn't it "wizard"?! I've put some of the archived features across the top banner, as well as improved the blogroll a little bit. There will be some further tweaks later this week, that will be absolutely aces. Aces may be a little too strong, because really it's the words and comments that make a blog, the layout is just a bit of lippy. I've had a bit of a fabbo weekend, visiting with Simon and Mark for London Pride. Here are some photos and just a few highlights...

Above are two vids Dazpecs and I introduced to marky, who had never heard of either Joan Crawford or Chris Crocker. Oh how we chuckled at the ace youtubey goodness...

• BWO and Alcazar at London Pride? I adore them (well BWO more than Alcazar), but one gets the feeling that for whatever reason, they won't really "make it" big in the UK :( Sometimes that just happens to pop acts doesn't it?
• Dr Who finale? Epic and tragic all at the same time. Much much more on that tomorrow...
• The parade was quite good. Though sometimes it was VERY difficult to tell what the floats were promoting! I did like the line dancing one to Hung Up (pre-HardMandy) though. There's something about synchronised dancing that is rather lovely.
• Simon and Mark are brilliant. Plus they don't watch the Simpsons so when I steal witty and brilliantly caustic lines from there, they actually think I am hilarious. Hurrah, etc.
• Simon and Mark's friends are also brilliant. I was far too merry to remember all of their names (maybe if they'd said them 3 times like Belinda on Big Brother), but I know Dazpecs and I bonded with at least one over a love of Muriel's Wedding and Prisoner Cell Block H.
• Getting a text from Bernice (Buhr-Neice) telling me she was on a gay cruise and being sung to by Nikki "Hairspray" Blonski. Lucky bitch. The classy thing seemed to be to text back 'don't suck too much gay cock'...
• OVERHEARD: A gang of lesbians terrorising the streets and then 2 of them having one of those arms-by-side-chest-puffing-and-bumping type face offs. One of them slapped a cigarette out of the other's mouth! It was all very Eastenders meets L-Word. (That wasn't really an overheard was it?)
• OVERHEARD: A topless 3 foot lesbian dwarf riding around on a naked blonde woman, while talking about the size of her *lady garden* (That wasn't really an overheard was it? And in fact, it might have been on a late night Jerry Springer...)
• OVERHEARD: A tall fellow lighting his cigarette and then getting asked by a Big Issue seller (one of those ones that carries around a 6 month old big issue in the hope of getting some change for a *coffee*) for a spare cigarette. Cruelly, but rather brilliantly, the tall fellow took a drag (look at me go with the smoking lingo), blew the smoke in his face and said "I'm sorry. I don't smoke"... Vicious!
• OVERHEARD: one guy to his lady friend "I'm so sick of the snobby people in East London and Chelsea and the like thinking that they are above everyone else because of where they live. One tosser said to me the other day he knew he'd made it because he now lived in Chelsea!" lady friend "where do you live" guy "Wapping"!!
