Though the third part of Robyn's trilogy "Body Talk" was already released last year along with final compilation that currently makes its road to the heart of listeners from the most different continents era of "Body Talk" is not over and this May another single "Call Your Girfriend" will see the light.
As you could expect bunch of mixes from different DJs will support this release but as you probably didn't expect every of them is better than other, every is pretty stunning club banger but if we had to choose best one we would choose... Kaskade remix - that loud modern sort of disco chorus is just too dance-ecstatic so we give highest marks to whole pack at least for this track. And for the rest too. And almost forgive girl for not releasing "Time Machine" as next single. Though...

Robyn has appeared recently on these two big shows with both her comeback single of 2010 "Dancing On My Own" and her brand new "Call Your Girlfriend" giving it all like she usually does and getting positive response from the audience, you can enjoy performances right now.
Thanx to Pop In Stereo blog for tips.

If you thought there was too much of Robyn in 2010, it doesn't mean Robyn will get rest next year. No, we don't have news about her own material for now but we constantly keep getting results of her collaboration with other artists and freshest example is single "Cardiac Arrest" released by Teddybears. Band constantly worked on Robyn's music before, also performing with her live so you're not gonna be surprised by sound of this single, it's pretty recognizable track you could find on one of previous Robyn's albums, so come and get that "Cardiac Arrest", not literally sure!

Triumphal winner of the latest Grammis awards Robyn doesn't plan to slow down tempo of creative activity that was truly on fire last year and spends a lot of time in studio working on new stuff. Does it mean that we'll get new album already this year? Not really clear but what's known for sure is that we'll get another single "Call Your Girlfriend" from the latest part of "Body Talk" series and it already gets massive mix-treatment from Kaskade that sounds like a huge club-anthem we really looking forward to listen it in a full version. Thanx for tips to Pop In Stereo.

Few months ago audience of Oskar Linnros' concert could enjoy great live mash-up of Oskar singing Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" with "Från och med du" arrangement and now this idea gets official release and immediately reached the top of iTunes-chart in Patrik Berger mashup. You can already enjoy it below.

This night whole music world of Sweden was holding breath as the biggest music awards Grammis were shared among many of those who become folk's favorite or came back from nowhere to the brightest spotlights and brought some monster hits to masses during last year.

However it's also nice to see Johnossi (Best group) and Oskar Linnros (Best newcomer) among winners.
And here we've got a reason to give you tip about Robyn's performance at Nobel Peace Prize Concert that we've missed but that's completely brilliant - "Jag vet en dejlig rosa", "Dancing on My Own" and "Indestructible" - terrific gig!

Feels like Musikhjälpen studio never had so many viewers outside the walls of glass studio. But no need to be surprised as its guest was the star of international scale and music pride of Sweden - Robyn.
Robyn performed piano-version of "Hang With Me" that probably was more proper for Christmas direction of the show and live-version of "With Every Heartbeat" - quite different from original but very nice. Enjoy!

We send our warmest congratulations to Robyn who's got to the list of nominees for 53rd Grammy awards that will be held on 13 February 2011 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Robyn has got nominee in category Best Dance Recording for single "Dancing On My Own" and will fight for the victory with Goldfrapp ("Rocket"), La Roux ("In For The Kill"), Lady Gaga ("Dance In The Dark") and Rihanna ("Only Girl (In The World)"). Though getting to nominee is already big victory as many European artists can only dream about it but for Robyn with her heavy promotion in U.S. year touring, performing at VMA and breaking to American radiostations and dancefloors and reaching Top-100 of albums chart with both first parts of "Body Talk" it was fairly to be rewarded by American most respectable awards. Swedish RedOne is also in nominee for the Best Producer so next March Melodifestivalen can get project of Best Producer of the planet and hope Sweden will appreciate it.
Back to Robyn. Recently she has performed at MySpace Secret Show presenting massive set of her latest best hits and you can already check whole event yourself at least just to realize what a hit machine this woman is.

Setlist:
Fembot
Include Me Out
Cobrastyle
Indestructible
Love Kills
The Girl and The Robot
Hang With Me
Dancing On My Own
Be Mine!
In My Eyes
Dream On
With Every Heartbeat

Robyn's third pard of trilogy "Body Talk" is finally out in Sweden on previous week together with final compilation "Body Talk" containing 5 songs from every of 3 EPs. So we've logically lost acoustic versions of "Dancing On My Own" and "Hang With Me" and 4 another tracks and we officially miss "Include Me Out" and "Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa" but still consider final album as real pop-masterpiece that has made many people who even weren't Robyn's fans before follow her career whole year.
Few months ago Robyn presented beautiful acoustic track "Indestructible" with magnificent strings arrangement on previous EP that on "Body talk Pt.3" turned to electropop younger sister of "Dancing On My Own" and "Hang With Me" - light and delicate, maybe not with the same huge hit-potential but still reaching Top-10 in Sweden. However third Robyn's album this year has got some even more exciting thing - "Time Machine" collaboration between Robyn and Swedish biggest export-hitmaker Max Martin mixing some best moments in music of both - fragile sensitivity of Robyn's melodies and magic catchiness of Max Martin's stuff. It's not yet confirmed yet if it's gonna be the next single of Robyn or any of the rest 3 new tracks: "Call Your Girlfriend" - more dynamic and less dramatic version of "Dancing On My Own" with flying huge chorus, "Get Myself Together" - cheerful pop-song with catchy rhythm and "Stars 4-Ever" - colder club-track repetetive but light enough not to be boring. However here's best track of "Body Talk Pt.3" and new enjoyable performance of "Indestructible".

Robyn probably should take awards of the most active Swedish pop-star of 2010, it's difficult not to hear any news about her at around week. However these news were long-awaited. Video for new single "Indestructible" opening road for third third part of trilogy "Body Talk" is released and after a short period of tasting new single I can say it's officialy amazing! Robyn always find a keys and words simple but touching and understood to anyone so her songs turn to be something much more sighnificant and deep than common pop-stuff and the latest single proves it one more time. Video for "Indestructible" turned to be quite erotic thing with loads of sex scenes and Robyn in some sort of artificial veins with different color blood running randomly inside. Quite futuristic and hypnotizing picture.

There are pretty much happening with Robyn constantly this year so I've got a bunch of stuff to tell about.
First of all Robyn performed her first #1 hit in Sweden "Dancing On My Own" at American VMA with Deadmau5, unfortunately it was just around minute cut but still if there's any of European artists who can refuse to get it, please stand up! So here at 6.07 you can watch Robyn performing "Dancing on My Own" in the mix.
Right now before release of the third part of her trilogy "Body Talk" Robyn is presenting her new single "Indestructible", acoustic version of this song was presented on the second part of "Body Talk" so as it was expected it has got electro-arrangement in a style of "Hang With Me" and "Dancing On My Own" but a bit less commercial and sounding more like remix of previous version (in my opinion).

However that's great to get new material from Robyn and soon we're gonna get another 4 new songs on "Body Talk Pt. 3" - "Time Machine", "Call your girlfriend", "Get myself together" and "Stars 4-ever", the rest is 5 songs from the first part and 5 songs from second. Check whole tracklist below and cover above.
And finally you should check fresh lovely performance of early Robyn's hit "Show Me Love" right in the centre of Stockholm at Sergels Torg, it's wonderful how you completely flow into this performance, beautiful!

Tracklist of "Body Talk pt. 3":
1. Fembot
2. Don´t fucking tell me what to do
3. Dancing on my own
4. Indestructible
5. Time Machine
6. Love kills
7. Hang with me
8. Call your girlfriend
9. None of dem
10. We dance to the beat
11. U should know better
12. Dance hall queen
13. Get myself together
14. In my eyes
15. Stars 4-ever

Yesterday was obviously lucky night for Oskar Linnros and Tokio Hotel, both managed to won in two categories being logicaly joined by Robyn and Kent as most respectable artists who didn't fall out of the spot last months. Lars Winnerbäck took his sixth Rockbjörnen, this time as Best male artist and victory in new category Best festival was given to Peace & Love. The Ark, Erik Saade, Tove Styrke and Hoffmaestro performed at the stage and as you can see on the picture above star guests had a lot of fun that was able to watch during awards.

Best female artist: Robyn
Best male artist: Lars Winnerbäck
Best group: Kent
Best concert: Tokio Hotel
Best festival: Peace & Love
Best Swedish song: Oskar Linnros – ”Från och med du”
Best international song: Tokio Hotel – ”World Behind My Wall”
Best breakthrough: Oskar Linnros

So here is the best Swedish song of the year due to Rockbjörnen's opinion. Well deserved, so we send congratulations to Oskar!

Polar Music Prize is annual event organized by Royal Swedish Academy of Music when two notable musicians (in popular and classic music) from different countries are awarded already more than 20 years. This year awards were given to Björk and Ennio Morricone. Robyn as one of the most successful Swedish artists were chosen to perform cover of Björk's hit "Hyperballad". Robyn as well was invited to perform on VMA-2010 on September 12, by rumours she's gonna perform completely new mix of "Dancing On My Own" in collaboration with Deadmau5 and now you can enjoy this touching performance at Polar Music Prize.

For those who wants to hear something completely new from Robyn here is brand new collaboration "Bad Gal" with Savage Skulls & Douster that by rumours must be released as bonus-track on "Body Talk Pt. 2" and for sure on Savage Skulls & Douster's EP "Get Rich or High Trying" already tomorrow. It's a little funny electonic experiment that should sound very welcome and proper on new Robyn's album.

And I've got something for dessert. Remember I told you about virtual Live-löpet concerts recently? Have missed Robyn's gig? Don't get upset as you can find some of her performances on youtube and right here.

Robyn - Dancehall Queen (Live-löpet)
Robyn - Dancing on My Own (Live-löpet)
Robyn - Hang with Me (Live-löpet)
Robyn - With Every Heartbeat (Live-löpet)

Just to remind you guys:
1) You can already vote for finalists of Rockbjörnen-2010 here. Will Ola be storming Rockbjörnen again? Which one of Melodifestivalen-2010 final top-3 will win more nominations? Anna? Salem? Eric? Will Oskar Linnros become king of Rockbjörnen winning 3 nominations? Have Justin Bieber and Tokio Hotel any chance against Gaga? It's you who decides so come and vote!
2) Tonight (less than in hour) you have ability to watch acoustic concert of Robyn at Live-löpet interactive event. I'll better cite Rockbjörnen Crew about it:

"Tonight, August the 24th, Robyn will perform a unique interactive concert for fans all over the world. The concert is acoustic, a bit shorter than usual, and provides a way for international fans to get a glimpse of the Swedish superstar. The concert is streamed through a never-before-seen digital setting where the audience can interact with Robyn by using different tools, such as chatting with the artist and other people in the audience using Facebook connect, request a song, clap their hands etc. What makes this concert so unique is that the artists can follow the interaction live from the stage and respond directly to the audience. This is made possible by using real-time messaging cloud which connects thousands of people simultaneously and presents live figures of the interactions taking place.
The concert starts at 8:55 PM CET (2:55 PM east coast time). Tickets are free of coast and available here"

Should I place here some of my favorite Rockbjörnen performances? Here is Dilba with her "Every little thing", it's not as much about performance as about the song, it's beautiful, Dilba is beautiful! Oh how much I'd like to write update article about her, but she doesn't give us a reason. Unfortunately :(

Finally we've got ability to watch Robyn's live performances made for iheartradio in great quality and it's 4 brilliant performances of Robyn's most significant last singles "Hang With Me", "Dancing On My Own", "With Every Heartbeat", old classics "Show Me Love" and cover of Alicia Keys' "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart".
Thanx for the tips to We Are Pop Slags blog.

Creative activity of Eric Saade this Summer is quite high to hardly follow all of events he participates in and it's obviously effective as his album keeps in Top-20 since its release in May and currently its at #5. Surprisingly third Eric's single "Break Of Dawn" didn't succeed quite well and as debut "Sleepless" has spent only one week in chart but one position lower - at #45 and though his team released new mix version of the song being made not less than Le Kid it didn't help a lot. You can check Le Family remix below and convince yourself it's a really worthy track.

Right now Eric starts promoting his new single - effort to comeback to his Manboy-pop with a song "Masquerade" written by Eric with Anton Malmberg and Tony Malm of Le Kid. In my opinion it's not as successful choice as "It's Gonna Rain" but still it's a good radio-pop song - modern, catchy, well-produced and finally it works very well with just released video. Plot of the video continues previous video for "Break Of Dawn" with Eric playing role of servant fallen in love with the noble girl and coming to masquerade ball rushing all of his passion right on her. Surprisingly noble family's not so enthusiastic about this schlager-orgy right in front of all the guests and right after Eric's losing his head on a ball he's losing it literaly in the end of the party.

Last week Eric was also honoured to present his new single on tv-show Lotta På Liseberg and as always performance turned to a huge entertainment for obviously happy audience with nice choreography and costumes.

And finally great news! You have a chance to visit Eric's concert virtually. Set of concerts is organized by Aftonbladet's awards Rockbjörnen and right here you can book your free ticket to Eric's concert that will be held on August 18th at 21 of local time. Among other performers who will also arrange such virtual concerts that you can get tickets for are Mando Diao, The Ark, Salem al Fakir, Ola, Robyn and Anna Bergendahl.

Finally it has arrived - second part of Swedish pop-wonder Robyn album-trilogy "Body Talk" has leaked and Swedish Stereo's presenting its preview to you right here right now!
Comparing with the first part of "Body Talk" second one seems a little bit poppier but again it's quite original, full of experiments and loads of different styles.
Album starts with electro-pop anthemic "In My Eyes" with a light touch of Kylie's euphoria. "Include Me Out" is like a hello to Robyn of 90s - mature, filtered with electrosound-compressors, maybe even a bit futuristic but still having some great tunes for you. "Hang With Me" sounds like a great follow-up to best Robyn's singles "With Every Heartbeat" and "Dancing On My Own" - Kleerup-sounding, beautiful, heartbreaking dance-track with touching lyrics. "Love Kills" is probably the most clubby track with a dark meditative atmosphere and great dance arrangement. "We Dance To The Beat" sounds like brother of "Don't Fucking Tell Me What To Do" from previous part, repetative electronic track with Robyn's reverbed vocals. "Criminal Intent" and "U Should Know Better" (featuring Snoop Dogg) form hip-hop influenced part of the album though it's still wrapped into synth-sound and electro-samples. And finally just like previous part of "Body Talk" second contains acoustic track "Indestructible" with dramatic track with great melody and amazing strings part. Will it be new single from the third part? I'd dream about it! Check album preview yourself below.

Swedish Stereo is on the way back after small pause with updates caused by unexpected loads of job leaving me totally no free time to speak about so much of interesting stuff that I intended these days. I really hope you're still with me and we're coming back with what (or to be more accurate WHO) I left you with last week. I mean Robyn.
Surprisingly fast Robyn released new video for her forthcoming single "Hang With Me" and the video itself is cut of Robyn's life episodes on tour - performing, signing, spending time with her musicians, recording, playing, well, all of those things artists are about touring, it's very nicely shot by Max Vitali who also directed "Dancing On My Own". Single due to the last information from Robyn's site is planned for 16th August in Scandinavia, 17th August in the US and Canada, 3rd September in Germany, Switzerland and Holland and 5th September in the UK and Australia. Few days ago as well robyn.com revealed tracklist and cover of the second part of "Body Talk" trilogy so you can find it below.

1. In My Eyes
2. Include Me Out
3. Hang With Me
4. Love Kills
5. We Dance To The Beat
6. Criminal Intent
7. U Should Know Better feat. Snoop Dogg
8. Indestructible (acoustic version)

And a little more Robyn!
Just a few hours ago Robyn performed her latest hit "Dancing On My Own" on popular American David Letterman Late show looking as always stunning, charismatic and worth watching every second of performance. It's not the first time when Robyn was invited to this show, two years ago she has already performed there with "Cobrastyle" being supported by Teddybears on the stage. By the way last Robyn's album "Body Talk Pt.1" has already entered Top-100 of albums chart in U.S. (#97) and "Dancing On My Own" reached #3 in Billboard Hot Dance Club chart. In a few days Robyn and Kelis will start their North American All Hearts tour with amazing Dan Black and Far East Movement as supporting acts so let's cross fingers for the first and forthcoming parts of "Body Talk" to finally make a big break through on U.S. market.

Monday, July 19, 2010

Our beloved Poster Girl has just presented best news for today. Robyn's new single was aired on Radio 1 and the song is all kind of amazingness! It sounds like "Handle Me" melodics wrapped into "Dancing On My Own" sound. Great follow-up of the last single and comparing with "Dancing On My Own" this one sounds less tragic but not any less beautiful. The song (surprisingly for me) turned to be cover of Paola Bruna and you can hear original version on MuuMuse blog and convince yourself how far new version went from it. Earlier this year Robyn released acoustic version of this song on the first part of her trilogy "Body Talk Pt. 1" and on September 6th she plans to release new single along with the second part of "Body Talk".
