Soren – Summer Sun: Former C21 singer Soren unleashes a pop-dance number so epic as his first single, that it’s hard not to drop to my knees in front of him and worship him like the god he is. Tinkling piano, swathy synth sounds, a grinding beat and a healthy disco sheen give this song an extra kick that sets it aside from the usual dance track that passes me by. Plus his sweet vocal and singable melodic chorus gets extra points. Check out a legal download remix of the single below and prepare to be converted… (oh! And try not to morph into Could It Be Magic when he sings Baby I Want You…!!)

Shayne Ward ~ If That’s Ok With You: It’s not a swooping ballad, so that’s automatically a point in it’s favour. It’s Shayne Ward, so of course I’m automatically predisposed to love it’s chav ass. And while it may not be something as dance floor fantastic as, say, Move by Andreas Lundstadt, it’s still very summery, eminently catchy and a great little comeback single. Sure, the lyrics are twee and a little embarrassing, but overall this faux r’n’b Akon wannabe track has swiftly wormed it’s way into my heart, with it’s shuffling beat, and endearing unassuming melody. And it’s made me very eager to hear his forthcoming album. I assume the “big ballad” he mentions in press interviews will be his Christmas single?
