Hello dudes and dudettes :) How are you all? Marvy I hope. I trust all my American compadres had a wonderful thanksgiving and now have peeled off a roll of dollar bills to go attack the mall on what I believe is called "Black Friday"! (I could be wrong, I am getting this information from Cougar Town!)It's been an incredibly busy week and not a particularly brilliant one. Sometimes life is easy and sometimes it's hard. This week it was hard and worrying. All will be ok though :) And the countdown to Christmas has officially begun. As showcased above (DEMON EYES!), Bernice and I went to see A Christmas Carol 3D and very lovely it was too. 2 things were slightly off - it was no Muppets Christmas Carol and it certainly was a bit spooky for kids. Still ace though, and I'll probably go see it again. And talking of the muppets, here they are doing Bohemian Rhapsody and better than anyone (except Stacey) on Queen Week of the X Factor!! Hurrah, etc. Enjoy the charts! See you sun for an X Factor round up!
THE GOOD STUFF:
- Hurrah! Gavin and Stacey has returned to British screens! I won't give too much away about the first episode, but it was like a giant tv hug. Just wonderful. As quirky, warming and funny as ever. Plenty of allusions to botty sex. Amazingly brilliant middle names. Hilarious "new" family members. Only thing was, I had a tinge of sadness that the wonderfulness will all be over soon :(
- WEEKLY GLEE: It seemed a bit of a treading water episode this week, and although it's been entirely obvious that Papa Don't Preach was coming ever since Quinn got up the pipe, it wasn't as powerful as it could have been. Still Glee treading water is still miles ahead of anything else :) Sectionals only 2 weeks away! Loved the deaf-choir ending. Beautiful.
- Mighty Music Management are certainly busy at the mo. Same Difference are revamping their website, recording new songs (including a ballad!) and just preparing really for taking over the pop world. Not a moment too soon either. And Waterloo have a few new songs on their myspace which I'll comment on a bit more fully in future, but they are quite bonza. TRIVIA! Suzanne used to be Suzanne from Pop Idol 2 who was Darren and my fave contestant that year. She did a lovely version of I Guess That's Why They Call This The Blues. Maze.
- The Grey's Anatomy thanksgiving/christmas/new year all in one episode was quite nice. I got a bit weepy.
