Slow, slow, quick quick slow...

Possibly one of the best British Eurovision entries that never was!!

This was a little classic from 1982's "Song For Europe" which inevitably was too good to win the contest. Electro-pop was on a high at that time so this was probably considered too modern in those days to defend the ESC title won the previous year by Bucks Fizz and instead the juries chose the safer Dollar-lite, a.k.a. Bardo. :(

This is the ASFE performance (with intro and outro by a much younger Terry Wogan): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY3w3dAcCf8

The studio version - even better - is also available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=it4Vgh0xOs8&feature=related

Q-Feel came back later on with the rather wonderful "Heroes Never Die" with its wartime themed lyrics and video, but don't be put off by that - it's a great record. It's at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8AaJ8IUMak&feature=related
