So, barn dance amazing, catching up with wedding buddies Richard and Nessa lots of fun, weekend quite good, back to evil busy work on Monday, yadayadayada. Before I rattle off all the new music I am listening to, let's take a quick look at Simon Curtis on the red carpet!! On youtube!!

It's just a lot of fun to see the Spectacular gang getting "papped" and thrown questions! It's pretty noisy out there, but I love Simon's refusal to say "hot" to the Jonas Bros, hahahaha. Plus he has strangely cute ears. Other than that, when I showed it to a couple of friends they both thought Tammin looked amazing. Viva more Simon on the red carpet. I'm ready!

  • Ok, first up what I would like to see before Christmas is a PWL rarities disc. First I see Claire Richards (former Steps; a group I still listen to regularly. LOVED them!) performing Tragedy on some dodgy tv show last night, and then via the magic of auspop I learn that lots of demos have appeared on the PWL website. It's a veritable history lesson of fun and funky pop and if you are a S/A/W fan at all you will be spending far too much time there. I sense D'luv may already have done so...
  • The Observer Music Monthly came out today, and was quite disappointing apart from two things - firstly, Mr Worrapolava gets the letter of the month and secondly, The Killers reveal in a great interview that their new single is coming v soon and called "Human". They describe it as "a pet shop boys style synth pop zoomer that should please fans of Mr Brightside". Sounds amazing. I am so anxious for their return - i've been listening to Sam's Town a lot lately, and love it almost as much as Hot Fuss now. And! A new Christmas song is in the offing called Joseph, Better You Than Me - which sounds INTRUIGING! Roll on Nov 24th!
  • XO is quite right to say that there is almost a hallowed reverence around each new Girls Aloud release. The Promise debuts at 7pm UK time today (Sunday) and will be all over the blogs by 7.05pm! Haha. I am gonna try and wait 24 hours before revealing my thoughts on it, but i'm hoping it will be brilliant. Now might be a good time to mention how much I am detesting Cheryl Cole on the X Factor. I am furious that she let her dog piss all over the carpet and expected someone else to clean it up! Conversely though, I am loving Dannii more and more with each episode...
  • McFly are obviously seeing something else in Cheryl Cole. They want to do a duet with her and suggest Heaven Is A Place On Earth. Now that's some Cole i could stoke.... And the Jonas Bonus Bros want to drag Tweedy-Cole and the gang around on their next US tour. Ooo it's like the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon...
  • There is a lovely interview with Same Difference over at Digital Spy. Their album basically has 20 songs in the running and they are narrowing it down to 12. Hopefully that means some demos leaking soon. 2 songs are in the running for first single, though neither will be Turn It Into Love. Their time is coming and I am SUPER excited :)
  • Lots of potential popstars getting their groove on too - be sure to check out Yuri's blog for a synthtastic free and legal James Leon download (and download Club With No Name here) and if you are still pining for aces boyband (never) to be Digital, check out Ian and Deans (myspace)poptastic electroriffic solo stuff by clicking on their names!
  • Finally, I'm loving the new Daniel Powter album, but I just can't find it in me to write up a decent review. It's just solid piano-vocal pop and Best of Me is pretty special :)
