I’m always a bit behind everyone else when it comes to SwedePop (except Matt LIL who hadn’t heard a BWO song before today. Stunned, much!) so forgive the late bandwagon jumping here of superswedeypopstars The Sounds. They are rather fabulous in a rock-meets-pop-meets electro-meets-ace sort of way. They definitely have the intricacies of creating a melody that will be swimming around in your head for weeks and lead singer Maja Ivarsson has a very distinctive vocal style that sounds strangely aggressive and alluring all at the same time. The songs are cabaret and theatre all in one while wrapped in a confection of doomy pop sugar. Very cool and very necessary for you to nip out and purchase Dying To Say This To You right now. Hurry!
