THE BOX SET TO END ALL BOX SETS:
Was there anything more glorious, bizarre, intruiging, frustrating and engrossing than Twin Peaks in the early 90s? I think not. So finally, this Christmas, there is a complete series box set that does the show some justice. Not only does it have all 29 episodes with the original pilot, log lady intros for each show from Bravo TV, 4 new documentaries and spunky new packaging, but has a whole host of vintage extras from when the show was on the air. What is very exciting is a bunch of deleted scenes that were thought to be lost forever, but have been found, dusted off and shed a whole new light on the characters backgrounds. This was one show that really set up the tv landscape for subsequent shows like X Files, Sopranos, Buffy and every quality tv on pay tv in America. I could write 100 novels on how amazing this show was, but for now, I will just reminisce about how powerful the pilot is when Leyland phones his wife to let her know Laura’s body has been found and she wails like a broken animal down the receiver.
